About Cradle Fox
An editorial review of open sources for parents of children from birth to 3. It isn't a medical consultation.
Cradle Fox is written and edited by Pavel Ryzhikh. He isn't a doctor, a health visitor or a car seat fitter, and he hasn't tested these products by hand. Every article here comes from reading what others publish.
What we read
Safety and health advice comes only from the NHS, the Lullaby Trust, RoSPA, the AAP, the CDC, the WHO, government pages and the published scope of product standards. If one of those pages doesn't open for us, we don't make the claim. For products, the maker's page and the store's page. A test result names the outlet that ran it.
What we won't do
We don't give medical advice, name doses or diagnose anything. Anything about your child's health is a question for your doctor or health visitor.
We don't promote first infant formula. There are no links, prices, ratings or offers for it here, and UK and EU rules restrict that advertising anyway. Bottles and teats appear only as a line in the cost calculator.
We don't list sleep positioners, wedges, nests, cot bumpers or inclined sleepers, because the Lullaby Trust advises against them.
How we check products
Each product is looked up at UK OPSS, EU Safety Gate and US CPSC, and a live recall takes it out. The recall page says what that check can and can't tell you. Prices are read on the store's own page from a connection in Portugal. A store may show a UK visitor something different, so each price has its store and date. If we can't read a price, we say so and print no figure.
Money
If you buy through a link here, the store pays us a small commission, and your price stays the same. Read how that works. Budget and second-hand options get the same space as premium ones.
